here are the first few cabs that i've done so far from some of the material that Zotika sent me, first up is a freeform Serbian Obsidian:

then a small (18mm x 13mm) dendritic chrysoprase:

kinda looks like a small palm tree in there, huh?

and lastly a piece of Matra Mt. Agate (Hungarian):

you can tell i've been cabbing instead of dusting my furniture..

i have more on dop sticks, so it will be a busy upcoming weekend! i also have a piece of Hooba Jasper from Jamie that i am working on....

that is extremely kind of you to say, Jamie......but i'm not sure i can part with it (yet). i am going to try and calibrate it into a cinch mount setting and bead it up. maybe Zotika can get a deal on some more? i know everyone's response to this material has been positive +++!!!

Very nice KD. The last one is a knock out. Now about the palm tree in the second one, it's been a while since you've been out here and actually seen a palm tree, hasn't it? Just kidding. The obsidian looks really cool too, don't think I've ever seen obsidian like that before.
