here are the first few cabs that i've done so far from some of the material that Zotika sent me, first up is a freeform Serbian Obsidian: then a small (18mm x 13mm) dendritic chrysoprase: kinda looks like a small palm tree in there, huh? and lastly a piece of Matra Mt. Agate (Hungarian): you can tell i've been cabbing instead of dusting my furniture.. i have more on dop sticks, so it will be a busy upcoming weekend! i also have a piece of Hooba Jasper from Jamie that i am working on.... thanks for looking! Great cabs! That first one looks like pet wood. And the shine of the last one is incredibble. Its colors (red, white, green) are also Hungarian.

Wow, that Matra Mt. is about as colorful as a rock can get and not be boulder opal! The obsidian is really cool too. Nice cabs, KD.

Totally freakin' awesome KD man you got some terrific shine on that last one. The first one reminds me of a guitar pick my dad used to have, that's cool!! ;D

Excellent. Hard to imagine that the first one is actually obsidian. That last one is beautiful.

that is extremely kind of you to say, Jamie......but i'm not sure i can part with it (yet). i am going to try and calibrate it into a cinch mount setting and bead it up. maybe Zotika can get a deal on some more? i know everyone's response to this material has been positive +++!!!
it's amazing stuff!

Very nice KD. The last one is a knock out. Now about the palm tree in the second one, it's been a while since you've been out here and actually seen a palm tree, hasn't it? Just kidding. The obsidian looks really cool too, don't think I've ever seen obsidian like that before.
