OHHH MYYYY GAWDDDD!!!! What a perfectly stunning cab. I just love the colors. I was blown away when I saw it. In the first pic I see an Indian in a canoe.

I just can't get over how freaking brilliant that boulder is! Even the pieces with little to no opalescence come out looking marvelous!! Tony, you must be a large part of the reason that stuff is so damn expensive and hard to get, looks like you're hoarding about 30-40% of the global reserve of top quality material there. BTW, is that the Australian BO? We have a small boulder opal mine in Vernon B.C., I wonder how our stuff would compare to that...?

Nice cab Tony. The matrix cabs are sometimes the best.

Rob, do you have any more info on the mine near you? That would be interesting, if I had one in my neck of the woods I would be at the front gate with a flash lite and a miners hat! The opal is Australian boulder opal. As for me hoarding, well I think Stoner has a bigger pile then me LOL!

Tony, I've been told the Okanagan formation is similar to the Spencer Idaho material, tending to form in wafer thin deposits in rhyolite rather than the ironstone or clay typical of aussy opals. They have some really nice pieces in their pictures; www.opalscanada.com/specimen.htmand they are open for fee digging; www.opalscanada.com/feedig.htmmy company has an engineering office in Vernon, I was there a year and a half ago but I only learned about the opal mine and shop in the last year. I keep trying to find an excuse to get back up there, but instead I get to go to China tomorrow

Holy smokes that is truly incredible. You really know how to pick out opal Tony. That piece would have been awesome even without any fire at all....Mel

Hey Pete thanks for the info. That looks like some really nice opal. I have some Spencer and it doesn't compare to the more colorful Okanagan material. It would be a lot less expensive to go to Canada rather then the land down under. Good luck in china!

Holy crap, that one is stunning. I think it's one of my favorites or yours so far. I know I have said that before a number of times but WOW! It blew me away. I can see on the rough where it came from. Steve
