Finally found out what this stuff is called, makes sense since there was a pipeline running up the canyon. Guess it could of also been called powerline canyon agate since there was powerlines running up it too. Anyway, these are a couple of Will's cabs. These are a couple of cabs I just cut. This first one was part of a gem silica nodule I found at the gates road mine, some freakin hard material This is a cab I cut from a mexican jelly opal. This is a cab I cut from a slab of Pietersite Ed sent to me. This is a piece I picked out at Jim Koning's agate pile a while back, it made a nice cab. Thanks for looking!!

Wow! Pipeline Canyon, I've even heard if that before, just didn't know where it was. That stuff actually reminds me a bit of Lavic material. Very kewl! Fantastic bunch of cabs. That pietersite is really something!...Mel

Thanks everyone. Hey Mel, I decided to look at Will's auctions because I knew he would have some of this listed since he filled up his truck too. He also had a bunch of what he and his buddies are calling "flame or fire quartz", man is that some neat looking stuff. I have never seen anything like it before. We are thinking about making another trip back to Cedar City to get more of the Pipeline material, I ended up selling all of the pieces I had picked out to keep for myself. I think it would be a worth while trip, especially if we aren't having to haul it off of the mountain one backpack at a time. We have a 4x4 and could drive right to the collecting spot, load the back of the truck in an hour or two and get back home easily in just a weekend.

Gorgeous Cabs...and not to be partial...but that Utah Junk is really sweeet! And to think, it's just at my own backdoor. If you guys decide to drive up, let me know. I'd do everything to meet you out there. Steve
