Nice work. That fordite is wild. And the Atlantisite is sharp.

Super shine. When you cabbed the Atlantasite did it create an almost soapy feeling residue?

Boy Beef! You got a super shine on the Atlantisite! Best shine I've seen so far! Super! Here's a pic of a slab I got in case anyone is curious. Did you get yours from radiant rock? And...the Fordite is actually really cool!

When I started scrolling down I glanced at the first name and then saw the rock, I went back to make sure I knew the name. Absolutely my favorite, and Liz shame on you for hanging the carrot in front of the mule (me) .

You should have posted a drool warning! OMG!! THat Atlantisite is absolutely outstanding. Purple and green what a combo. My favorite color(purple) and my hubby's favorite color(green).
I'm gonna have to look some of this. Does anybody have any slabs or rough for sale? Or know where I can buy it.
The other cabs are quite beautiful too. The Fordite is really interesting.

WOW! Beef, that Atlantisite is mind blowing. I was sure that Atlantisite wouldn't take a shine like that.
For those who have asked, Atlantisite comes from the western side of Tasmania, the island state off the south coast of mainland Australia. There are only a handful of mines where it is found. It is a combination of serpentine and stichtite. It is usually quite soft and has a waxy lusture which is why I am so blown away by the Beef Master's shine that he has going there.
Did I say..."WOW" already?

Thanks a bunch guys 'n gals! ;D Like Mike said Atlantisite is serpentine and stichtite. It is very soft and I too was surprised to get it to shine so well. Like Stoner says, with diamond paste and leather you can pretty much shine up anything. Yes Larry I did get that soapy residue feeling working with it. Lots of lather too! lol Nice slab Liz! I got mine from someone else, 913winston. Thanks again and have a great day!!

Adrian...(if I get this wrong, someone please correct me) The fordite is not natural. Actually it's paint drippings from painting cars. (supposed to be Fordite=Ford autos Chevyite=Chevrolet autos) Who would have thought paint could be formed into cool cabs!
For anyone interested in the Atlantisite...913winston is who beef got his from and I purchased mine from Radiant Rocks...both on e-bay?
