seems like it's been a while since i posted any cabs  , so here are a few that i've been working on, first up, a piece of rutilated quartz (25mm x 18mm) i snagged on eBay:  here is another 25mm x 18mm oval of Mozarkite that Builtonrock (John) sent me:  next up a piece (another 25mm x 18mm) of Bruneau Jasper from Catmandewe:  and a lovely hunk (30mm x 21mm) of Morrisonite, also from Catman (Tony):  here is a "mother/daughter" set of Brazilian agates (the larger one, you guessed it, 25 x 18, the smaller, 14 x 10mm) is from a slab LCARS sent me a long while back. the slab had a much larger oval marked out, but it was a very thin slab. contrary to popular opinion, i DO make the occasional low dome:  and last but not least, a tiger eye earring and pendant set, the earrings are 14 x 10mm and the pendant (also a low dome) is , yep, 25mm x 18mm. the pendant needs some filler and some rework i think!  thanks for looking! I was looking at that morisonite cab again and I just noticed that it is Humpty Dumpty after he fell.

The morrisonite is my favorite of the batch and the Brunaeu is a close second. I like what you did with the tigereye.Its nice to see some one who thinks outside the box when cutting a tigereye.

I really like the rutilated quartz. I have some of this I bought awhile back. I really want to work it but I feel I must get more experience. I dont want to ruin it.
Love the Tiger Eye set. How will you set the earrings and pendant?

Well it's about time you posted some cabs! And some mighty fine looking cabs they are. Are the inclusions in the rutilated quartz silver in color, or are they gold? The Bruneau looks awesome and so are the tiger eye set. Got any more?  ? |

I like, no, looooove the rutile quartz, reminds me of those "foxtails" grasses we use to play with outside & stick in the dog's fur when we were kids.
And those tiger eyes - I'm in awe of your high domes... but you already knew that!
