Wow, what a great story to go with some pretty amazing templates! I can't even imagine getting some of those shapes out of stone! Your grandpop was truly an artist!

Beautiful. I loved NZ but only got to visit the north island... Rotorua was a favorite spot though - I have an intricate bone spiral and a jade fishhook from there (used to know the Maori terms for those) and boy do I still miss kumura! I'd kill to get that in the states... *sigh*

Truly amazing. Would you mind if I copied one of the templates for a carving? I carve soft stone and would really like to start carving nephrite. Well, attempt to carve nephrite. Jim
