This contest will end on Sunday July 8th at 7pm central time. If there is no winner by Sunday, the one that came the closest will win! Just wanted to post this exciting update...
After a mere five hours have passed I have figured out four of the terms completely and have half of two others. I'm really doing a great job on this one, aren't I?

Thanks Sheri. Hint #2 really helps...except that I have never been to any rock hunting places. I live in Florida. We don't have rock hunting places in Florida. Maybe I'll just go look in the "Location..." thread. Why, I feel better already.

I am making some progress. I have now figured out 7 and a half complete answers and several partials/possibles. At this point I feel like my brain is in the tumbler with my little rocks. :-)

Ya know, I'm getting oldish and I am not into text-messaging at all and I've been wondering why so many people were sticking LOL in strange places in their threads. And then I saw LMAO a couple of times and was really stumped. I mean I could figure out that LOL meant "Lots of Love" but LMAO--I just couldn't figure that one out. I came up with some possibilities like "Let's Make A One" or "Looks More At Other" or "Last Man At Ocean" or "Life Mean A-Okay" and of course, none of these made any sense whatsoever SO I finally got inspired and Googled "Text Messaging Abbreviations" and LHM, there were all sorts of terms I would never have figured out on my own. So there I was, 4COL, finding out that you weren't all sending each other "Lots of Love". TMOT, it was a real learning experience and suddenly I was also LMAO, KWIM? AAR, now that I have stopped laughing so much I thought I would give everyone else a few good laughs, too...I'm posting some of my answers to this PITA puzzle. ;D

#40 has the word pygmy and some big medical term too, must be referring to a short witch doctor from some long lost african tribe that mines rocks for a living.

Lady, 4, 10, 12, 16, 18, and 27 are correct! 6 - the jasper is correct, 21 is correct but missing one letter and the rest are not even close!! LOL
