Very Nice! You are both very talented...and it surely shows. I really like the roots along the rocks, and you used the perfect amount of rocks for the leaves. I've seen these at rock shows and have always wanted one. In fact, just last week, I searched e-bay for them. Really cool..thanks for sharing those with us. Steve

Wow, i'm impressed! I'll have to add gem trees to my ever growing list of future projects to try. If I can get mine to look anywhere near that good I'll be thrilled. ;D

Thank you all. She says thank you for all the compliments and that she appreciates all of them. I tried to get her to make an appearence here but she's very shy. The rock bases were fun to pick out. Pet wood seemed to work the best because it has a nice grain for landscapes. The hard part was bending the wire to fit onto the rock perfectly. I spent a lot of time bendoing the wire to fit into the nooks (that was my job primarily). Randy, I've been trying to get her to do wire wrapping for a while now. She says she doesn't have the talent for it, but if it's anything like her gem trees then she'll be great at it. Cher, the trunks were made with about 40 loops of wire that were then cut in half to make 80. I'm not to sure about that number actually. There's a tutorial that was recommended from a previous thread that she used at: freebies-n-friends.com/showthread.php?p=252688. We (she) used less chip beads than the tut shows, about 3 or 4 per "branch". And I think each one used up about a stand of beads. Steve

Go Team Gem Tree! Those are sweet. You've both done some outstanding work. Yep, there is certainly something about those roots. They look really...real.
