it's been a while since i posted any new cabs , mainly because i was waiting to get a bunch done before i did a final polish on them. then i had some ISP problems and couldn't upload the photos to photobucket (very frustrating!), but it's all fixed now, so here is what iv'e been working on lately:
here is a small 14mm x 10mm boulder opal oval, Tony sent me a bunch of slabbettes to play with, and this is the first one that came out any good:
here is a bruneau piece that came from "the other" Tony, Catmandewe, i tried photographing this piece six times and it still didn't come out as clear as i wanted.
here is a mex lace pendant and earring set, don't remember who gave me the material, might have been eDog:
here is another boulder opal from Tony (nephrite) that didn't come out too well, but i'm getting there.
here is a 18mm x 13mm mex lace oval:
a 25mm x 18mm piece of plume, and then backlit:
here is a 25mm x 18mm pet wood oval, kinda looks like a tribal bird or something?
another piece of pet wood, very high dome as it was a thick slab, may have to grind down the back some, but it has great grain and color:
another pet wood? not sure.
yet another pet wood, this is for sure, because Stoner sent me the slab:
yes, another pet wood 25mm x 18mm:
not sure what this is, but i think eDog sent me the slab:
this is a lovely piece of seraphinte, also from Stoner. i really like this stuff, even if it is a bit tricky to work with:
here are some pieces from materail that Zotika sent me, Serbian amethyst and green opal:
a few 14mm x 10mm agate ovals:
and last, but not least a piece of unknown material that BearCreek sent me a long time ago:
sorry for that annoying red dot that my camera insists on reflecting. now it's back to the grinder to finish a few of the backs, thanks for looking!
