My friend and I went and played on a Genie yesterday! ;D Man...do I ever want to buy one of these machines. We each were able to do something. My friend did an Agate Tear..kind of ground on it and pre-formed it in the shape of a tear drop. Sorry no pic. And ever since I cut one of my Condor nodules...I have wanted to cab this one particular piece. With the help of the owner of the Genie..I did a free-form...and I love the way it turned out. I wished I would have made the point actually come to a point..but..there's always next time. I can't wait to do some more. We were invited to come back whenever we wanted to. It's a gentleman my friend had bought a saw from...very friendly...a typical rockhound! ;D Steve Thanks everyone for the kind comments! I made a HUGE mistake Sunday though. I was so excited to drill the stone and start wearing it, that I screwed up big time. As I was drilling the cab...I rushed it, and the drill bit bent and flipped the stone across my garage. I didn't even see where it flew too...it whizzed out so fast..but I knew I had done it. SIGH I guess there will be other times and other cabs! Chalk one up as lesson learned! Steve

The bevels are a great touch, Steve, and love that shine you got. Nice to have a top notch unit for sure. Tony

I love Condors and think the truncated corners on your cab are kinda nice. Great use of the full pattern too!......Mel

Nice! I really like the beveled corners, too. I think they work really well with the pattern in the stone.

Nice job Steve. I can see why you wanted to get this piece cabbed, it's a great example of a Condor and you brought out the beauty in the best possible way. Save your pennies and get some diamond wheels for the arbors you have so you can start cutting cabs at home.

Oh, Steve, I'm so sorry.

Ooh, I hate it when that happens! Any chance of finding the missing part and epoxy? Or a glue on bail to cover the gap?

Oh, what a pitty! And yet, not everything is lost in my opinion! A little extra grinding on the top and a high silver frame and you'll have a beautiful jewel.
