I think that is one great idea for castaways!
One Halloween when I was a little girl, Mr. Livingston (the local funeral director) gave me a small penny bag full of polished rocks instead of candy. I kept them in a little jewelry box on my dresser. My Dad finally took me and my sisters to meet the man officially. His workshop was so awesome. he had a huge fishbowl full of polished rocks and he told us to stick our hand in and grab as many as we could and we could keep them. It was fond times always looked forward to hitting his house on Halloween!
