I decided that it was time that I did a little something fun. I am going to give out 3 prizes, each prize will be a book of slabs. Everyone is allowed 1 guess each of the answers to 3 different questions. The one who comes closest to each answer wins. You can change your answer/answers if you like, the most recent answer is the one that will be entered.
I cleaned out my slab bucket tonight, so as of 10 pm tonight it is empty. I am going to add slabs to the bucket as I cut until midnight on March 22. Only slabs that are larger than 1 1/2" will make the cut for the bucket. On the 23rd I will clean out the bucket and take photos of the slabs. The contest will be as follows.
Answer #1 will be how many slabs will be in the bucket.
Answer #2 will be how many pounds the slabs will weigh, to the nearest tenth of a pound.
Answer #3 will be answer #1 multiplied by answer #2 which will equal Answer #3.
So for example, if you guess 10 slabs for Answer #1 and 3.4 lbs for Answer #2, then Answer #3 will 34.
As you can see, if you change either Answer #1 or Answer #2, then Answer #3 will change.
You only need to post the guesses for Answers #1 and #2.
Example;
Hairy Rockmonger guesses #1 10 slabs #2 3.4 lbs
I will get the books put together and post pictures of them as we progress.
It sure is hard to come up with an original idea for a new competition around here! This might seem a little complicated, but it is pretty simple really.
Have fun at this everyone!!!
Tony
