Got this at the show today. It is plume from one of the former Soviet Union states - Kazakhstan. It appealed to me because I saw a tree in it. It's about 5" high. Thanks for looking. Bob

I stared at that first picture for quite a while lookin for a tree, before I scrolled down. There is definitely a tree in the second one, nice slab!!

That first one looks like a really nice piece of pigeon blood agate from Utah. You got me pretty psyched to head down there tomorrow, looks like lots of cool stuff, I hope you didn't snag all of the good pieces today!

Cool slab Bob. I can't wait to see what you do with it.
What show are you talking about? We're going to the one in Bakersfield today.

Dot, The show that I went to was the Santa Clara Valley MGS show in San Jose. A bazillion school kids there. Friday was kids day. They are going all out to accomodate them. They have a special kids section where they get to make things. Hopefully it will bring the young people into the hobby. Rallyrocks, Thanks for the id on this one! I had posted on other threads trying to find out what it was. The dealer didn't know. I left 2......um....maybe 3 slabs for you. Bob

That tree is so beautiful! It also has the ground. Amazing, I can't wait to see the cab.

Great slab, Bob. Makes me think of a banyan tree.
At the East Coast show, just about every Russian dealer was selling cabs of this stuff. Every one better lookin' than the last. But these Rooskies are tight with the rough - you never see it. Same goes for Tinguaite.
(Looks like the base of the tree might be in line for your Opticon treatment.)

LOL. I was looking and looking at the first picture and thought well okay, if the man wants to wear a green suit, then let him wear his green suit. Then I scrolled down to the second picture and everything was all right with the world. Very nice slab.

I was thinking..."Boy, this guy's a cheapskate if he thinks $6.00 is really expensive for a nice slab!" Then...I scrolled down to see the awesome tree. I can't wait to see how this one comes out.
