It has been a while since I've been on but you can understand why. After learning that I've become a Type II Diabetic and just can't seem to get over this chronic pain thing, I hated the fact that I couldn't throw myself into my tumblers and stones. But, I have been keeping busy before the summer hit...I've been baby sitting for my brand new, first grandbaby!! She's a beautiful child and a joy to care for. Only cries when wet, and not that much when she does! But, her mother, my daughter, is a 3rd grade school teacher and is out for the summer and I don't have her every day! And then the summer hit full blown and down here in NC the heat gets to be unbearable in un-air conditioned garages so I shut down my "rock shop" until the heat gets down to a cool mid 80ยบ! That's happening right now so this weekend I'll be throwing myself at cleaning up my tumbling area and after getting a few loads tumbling I'll start cutting a few stones I picked up this past year while my wife and I traveled to Mammoth Cave, took a cruise to Alaska! Which I recommend to anyone who can afford going into debt for a few thousand dollars. The most beautiful county. And so vast! Getting up close and personal with nature was amazing. Be careful of the moose! And be amazed at the number of bald eagles! They seem to be everywhere! So, check out my grandchild and I can't wait to get a few loads done and let y'all see how they turn out! i57.photobucket.com/albums/g223/jrtrio/juliaf7.jpg

Though I hopped on board while you were gone, let me be the first to say your new grandaughter is beautiful! I can see why she is your joy! I will look forward to seeing your tumbles and maybe if you can, a few pics of Alaska.
Welcome back.

Welcome back! She is a cutie pie, try telling your daughter that seeing her is good for your diabetes. My sister-in-law always has low blood sugar when she's with my daughter!
Take it easy in the heat.

Welcome back. Happy tumbling! And be of good cheer!
Your granddaughter is simply beautiful. Take good care of yourself so she has her Granddad for a long, long time!
