Sorry! I've been spammed working, going to the barn to ride and train, and following the Olympic equestrian events. I get a live feed via MS Silverlight and get everything instead of the few bits and pieces NBC broadcasts at night. Show jumping and Grand Prix Dressage Special is this weekend. The first qualifier for the individual jumping was yesterday morn and so far it's USA, Canada (I'm Canadian) and Brazil. The Dressage Grand Prix Special Second qualifier is this morn and starts in 45 minutes. Sniff. I'm going to miss it 'cause I have to leave for the barn at 8 am. It's exciting stuff for me On a positive note: the opal tree is done and just needs shaping once the glue has set. I don't touch them for at least 72 hours after the last stone goes on. I've also two more that are almost done. Light tent is here, too, and I need to set that up and take some test pix. Eileen

Holy crap, those are FREAKING AWESOME!!! I don't know if I'd have the patience to complete ONE of those let alone have enough of the same stones to pull it off, but maybe one day I will give it a shot on a smaller scale though... Excellent work! Thanks for sharing it with us. Rob

Eilieen. Where are you getting the stones? From what pet store? I ran around today trying to find some and I was unsuccessful. I was over by the clock tower and I also went to the new pet smart in Reston. No luck yet...

Tom -- Go to Fox Mill Pets in Herndon -- Franklin Farm Road and Fairfax Co Parkway. There's a Giant store there. That's where I get my pet supplies for the most part. As of a couple of days ago they had some rose quartz and a couple of pieces of yellow. There's a big chunk of rose in a display tank near the fish room -- don't miss that one They don't really know what the rocks are, so don't ask them for it. Go to the fish room at the back of the store. There's a rack when you walk in and all the rock is on the bottom. If they are out, you can try the other store, but I don't know if they have any left. They're at 404 Elden Street. HTH Eileen
