I've been doing a TON of preforming, so I've only got a few finished cabs to show, but I hope you like them. This is my first time taking photos outside...not sure I like them, but oh well. #1- This is sort of a boring agate...like the shape, though. #2- My first druzy cab. This is from a thunder egg slab from Mel. That's it for now! Off to do some more . #3 - Indian Paint Stone. I was surprised at how good the shine came out. Not like agate certainly, but it is shiny. But oh, is that miserable to work with...the MUD, mud and more mud! #4 - A little picture jasper. This one had a crack in it, but I decided to work in anyway. I think I'll use Bobby's Opticon tutorial and fill it. #5 - A funky little unknown #6 - Another unknown from rough I got from Jamie #7 - and my favorite...this is from a slab of Brazilian Agate Nodule I got from Jack (lapidaryrough). It's SO hard to photograph this guy because it's so dark. But in real life, it's amazing...the spiral of caramels and browns is absolutely mezmerizing. There's going to be loads more of these, too...this was a big nodule. I had a hard time cutting it on my small saw, but I managed. and backlit:

Very nice Nichole,
Their all great cabbs, For the small black Brazilians heel cut one and cabb it, it should have small round spots and dark rings.

Those are awesome. That Brazilian agate is just gorgeous. It's amazing just how tough the crystals in a druzy are. You would think with all the vibration from cutting to polishing, there would be nothing left. That druzy cab is a sweet little thing.

They're all great, but I think the Brazilian is the greatest! I really enjoy the variety of shapes in your cabs. Bob

I totally expected the druzy crystals to get damaged as I was working it, but nope. They hung in there just fine. Thanks for all of the comments, guys!

And to keep the Druzy clean through the cabbing, pack it with soap, though you have to clean the soap out and re-do as you change grit`s and work to polish.

Ooh...can't wait to see what you've got next. I've still not completely cut the nodule this slab came from. I ran into a druzy pocket when I got near the middle. Should be interesting.

Titania, You certainly have the polishing down. Do you use diamond? Most excellent cabs.
