Hello, everyone! I post this here, in the cab section, because although it's a wrap I consider the cab as the most interesting part of the pendant. And this is because it's a cab made from two rocks: below is a local jasper that I picked from a riverbed. It has some nice red dendrites. Above, there's a smaller piece of Polka Dot agate from Daniel - Thanks again, Daniel! Front: Front again: Back: Side 1: Side 2: This is the second combined cab that I made, I am aware that I'm far from 58vette's craftsmanship but I'm quite happy with the result. I also tried to accent that beautiful dot in the polka dot, framing it with a curl of wire. Please post your honest opinion about that, is it inspired or I better might had let the cab unhidden? Thank you for looking and for opinions, Adrian

Very Nice! Thank you for showing multiple angles. That really helps those of us who are just starting with wire wrapping understand your technique.

Adrian, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it! Did I mention that I really love it? I think it's a perfect design that really does enhance the stone, rather than detracting from it.

Adrian your creativity just keeps on taking things to another level. Great job on that cab and warp.

This shows real design sucess.
Did you glue the two slabs before cutting and gruving? Did you have any worry the notch for the curl would break the two slabs apart? IS there any clue holding the curl flush on th face?

Thank you everyone! Tweet, congrats if you can bow to kiss your feet, that shows an awesome mobility! Titania - I'm not sure yet, do you or don't you love that pendant? ;D Daniel, yes I glued the two slabs before grooving. I gross cut each of them, then precisely grinded the common surface, then glued (Bison epoxy waterproof), then finished grinding, then groove, then fine sanding+polish. The noch for the curl - I was pretty confident about it, as I subjected the cab before to more adverse stresses during sanding/polishing. Besides, the noch isn't too deep. I'm not sure about the meaning of your last question (sorry, flush means to me "flush the toilet" and when I made a search on my on line dictionary some 50 meanings popped), but if I got it right the answer might be: I pre-bent the curl around the thickness of the cab before the final mounting and I exagerated a bit these bents after extracting the cab from the wires; only then I did the final mounting, re-positionning the cab and finishing the bail. Adrian

Oh, yeah, it is inspired! It is a super conbination of glued rock, grooved rock and curled wire I like it a lot, and will begin to steal your ideas as soon as I can get to it Tony

That is so lovely. I like wire that does not detract from the stone's natural beauty, I love the groove you put down the side. After taking a class on wrapping, I said forget it, I have zero patience, I can't imagine how difficult that was to make, and it is stunning, I like that you highlight the dot with the simple piece of wire, BEAUTIFUL !

That turned out really nice. Fantastic Job. I bought the bits to groove stones over a year ago and never have done the first one. You have definatly got that down pat.

Thank you again! Amy, this pendant is a bit too big for Ioana (my daughter) so I think Ina will wear it without any fight Adrian

Adrian, that cab and the setting in amazing. What you did with the dot and the silver is so perfect and honestly, it is something that if I saw it in the store it would be a got-to-have-it-no-matter-what-price!

Thank you Sitnwrap! If I ever will decide to sell my pendants, I will print your post and put it under them instead of price labels ;D
