I've got a bunch of cabs to post so I'll break them up in a couple of posts. I'm still battling the damn kidney stones, had to go in last Tuesday for another round of getting them blasted, so hopefully the end is in sight and I can get back to feeling normal again. A couple of Arizona agates California serpentine New Mexico jasper Unknown agate A lapis cab Nancy had requested OJ Wingate plume A couple of Morgan Hill poppies Green Imperial jasper and a couple of boulder opals That's it for now, I'll start another post with the rest.

Gorgeous Wingate Plume. I also really love those BO with the dark border (BO #2 in this case).
We've missed you!

I just wanna say ------ ED ROCKS!!!! ;D ....... and here's my GORGEOUS lapis cab with it's mounting partner, the chrysocolla (that I bought on eBay as "gem silica" ha - what a learning experience!) - they're going to be mounted in silver together as a pendant: and in my package was a bonus cab - a Woodward Ranch Plume agate with a cute little druzy pocket: Ed, you are awesome! What beautiful work!!! Nancy

I think I shall name the green imperial jasper "Northern Lights."

Ed, All beautiful as usual, I like the 2nd agate, the 2nd opal, and the green imperial jasper, very neat. The lapis is lovely, and I think you made someone very happy with that. Get well soon.

Nice cabs Ed! Hope you get feeling better. I do 'feel' for you man...I could only imagine. I think everyone is reading my mind tonight. I saw that WingatePlume and just was amazed. And when I saw the Green Imperial...1st thought that crossed my mind was "Northern Lights"! Those are my top 2 favs...with the last BO coming in a close 3rd! Nancy...that's gonna make one beautiful pendant! Love those colors...and they compliment each other so well. Steve

Like all of your cabs it is so hard to pick one best of the bunch, but the Wingate plume does catch the eye......they are all great. Woody BTW like most of us on the forum I hope the 'personal stone' thing goes away painlessly. Never experienced this myself, and hope I never do nor anybody else for that matter.

Mighty nice work for the recently "blasted". I like the shapes of the second agate and the New Mexico. Great pattern in the Wingate and the second opal. But my choice for the ultra cool award is the 3rd opal. A really interesting stone. When I get blasted I usually go to sleep Glad you could see straight to grind. T

Ed, I love all those cabs. That unknown agate looks like it has a little drusy in it. Looking forward to seeing the rest of your cabs and also Nan's completed pendant. A beautiful partnering of people and stones I'd say.

Great to see you back Ed! I see the stoner stones haven't dampened your cabbing abilities. Curt

Sorry to hear you're still struggling with the stones. Are they blasting with lithotripsy or laser?
Great to see some of your new cabs, though. My fave is the Wingate plume. Just so much going on in that stone.

while the windgate seems to be the popular pick of the litter, i am somehow drawn to that california serpentine....the shape and shine are just right.
hope you are feeling better soon,

Even with the stones your stonework is flawless. Really nice batch. Love the imperial. Someday I gotta figure out how to shine up morgan hill, it never shines well for me.

Beautiful cabs, Ed. The green Imperial Jasper and the second BO are my favorites. The pentagonal poppy is so eye-catching!

I have to make a comment about the Wingate Plume...If you turn it sideways, it looks like it is kidney shaped...maybe subconscious choice of shape. I really love them all and they have great shine! Feel better. Fran

Thanks everyone. I had the same thoughts about the imperial jasper and frane, I didn't realize the wingate is kidney shaped, but you're right. I go in on Tuesday for my follow up appt to see if I'm stone free. I better be, because the next time they go after them it will be a direct approach using a laser, going in through what I consider to be a one way lane, if you know what I mean!!!
Part 2 of the cabs will be coming up soon, stay tuned.
