Don't see how the Russians could ever gobble up Canada . . . they'd have to get through Sarah and her national guard.

Her is a question for rockrookie: IF the republicans are so opposed to abortion why did they NOT make it illegal during the first 6 years of the bush/cheney disaster when they had control of the White House, Congress AND the Supreme Court?
The answer: They use it as a carrot on a stick to keep people voting against their own best interests! The thinking people in our country are in agreement that abortion is a choice betweena woman and her doctor-AN NO ONE ELSE'S BUSINESS! If you do not like abortions do not have one, BUT you are not qualified to make the decision for everyone else! I do NOT like abortion used for birth control but those are not my choices. Please do not let one issue force you to vote against YOUR best interests, look at the overall picture and go that way. Try to see through the lies and half truths of either side and use your brain.

*'Twas the night before elections*
*And all through the town*
*Tempers were flaring*
*Emotions all up and down!*
*I, in my bathrobe*
*With a cat in my lap*
*Had cut off the TV*
*Tired of political crap.*
*When all of a sudden*
*There arose such a noise*
*I peered out of my window*
*Saw Obama and his boys*
*They had come for my wallet*
*They wanted my pay*
*To give to the others*
*Who had not worked a day!*
*He snatched up my money*
*Then quick as a wink*
*Jumped back on his bandwagon*
*And was gone in a blink*
*He then rallied his henchmen*
*Who were pulling his cart*
*I could tell they were out*
*To tear my country apart!*
*" On Fannie, on Freddie, *
*On Biden and Ayers!*
*On Acorn, On Pelosi"*
*He screamed at the pairs!*
*They took off for his cause*
*And as he flew out of sight*
*I heard him laugh at the nation*
*Who wouldn't stand up and fight!*
*So I leave you to think*
*On this one final note-*
*IF YOU DON'T WANT SOCIALISM*
*Then GET OUT AND VOTE!!!!*
Just got this in my email this morning, everyone get out and vote, no matter which side you vote for................Tony

Yes, tonyterner, we all love poking caged bears. It's kind of addictive. Not many things in this world are more gut-bustingly funny than an old Yankee redneck so angry that all he can do is sputter and emit horrible high-pitched screeches, fumbling around in his overalls for his six shooter so he can administer some old fashioned Texas-style justice, getting tangled up in his Rebel flag, falling head-first into the butter churn and putting six rounds through the outhouse, scaring Grandma so bad she can't go for a month. Seeing y'all go so utterly ballistic is just good clean fun, and it's why this election is the best ever... nothing gets a yank more terrified and downright vicious than the thought of a black president. SirRoxalot PS - If you ever get a chance to travel a little bit, outside of the US, you'd learn a lot. A whole lot of Europeans think that yanks are backward peasants... nice enough, but a bit simple minded. But of course you've created a whole host of phantom enemies, so silly yanks never travel outside of the posh resorts, or their army bases, and they never have a chance to broaden their views. Ah well. PPS - George Carlin had a hilarious bit on how Americans seem to revere the wee blob of cells that is the unborn fetus, but hate the child once it's born, at least until it's of military age and becomes useful as cannon fodder on the front lines of the holy war. That was a piece of genius, you should look it up on YouTube. Funny, yet sad. That's all for now. Vote early, and vote often! SirRoxalot Wipe your mouth, Dear, there's still some bullshit around your lips......

You may be shocked to hear that I don't like Bush or any of his people but as far as our troops being in harms way,I don't give a hoot how or why they got there. They are there and need ALL of us to support them and NOT be giving them BAD PRESS! This holds true for all of the troops who are trying their best to help. Not just our American troops but ALL of them! I don't know if you are a Vet but I am and hated it when we were in a "situation" and heard people knocking us down back home about what we were doing. It was NOT our choice to be there but it was our choice to serve and obey the Supreme Commander no matter what the situation. connrock Amen and AMEN!!! Coming from a military family (father, brothers, uncles, grandfather were and are all Navy men) I find it extremely low-rent to disrespect a soldier. We may not like the reason for the military action, the politics, whatever, but these men and women are doing a job that, if wasn't done, would have had you speaking another language by now and keeping your opinions to YOURSELF lest you find yourself imprisoned or executed. Not all military members agree with the reasons for their deployment. But they do it because they love their country, love their countrymen, and consider our lives and freedoms worth fighting for. And once we're in it, we're in it... Yes, you have your right (BECAUSE of these soldiers) to disagree, raise hell, and be disrespectful. But it isn't our soldiers who got this country into the mess we're in,,it's the politicians. And if not for our soldiers, things would be much, MUCH worse. They're gunning for us, make no mistake. And unfortunately, a large portion of the reasons are our own fault. But what's done is done, and there's no way of going back,,,it's all so screwed up now, there's really no fixing it. We like to think that by casting our votes, we really make a difference. I believe otherwise. The great American Political Machine is bigger than any one of us, or even us collectively. There isn't an honest politician in the bunch. But if we think we've got it bad now, think of where we'd be without our soldiers. It would take getting our a**es kicked to a whole new level.... and we'd be forced to either bow down, or grab our guns. The only reason we're not there yet is because of our soldiers.
