Man those are some stunning looking preforms. Way too many for 1 guy to cab. You should send some my way to lesson your burden. hehe.

Jeez, Mel, you sure have collected a lot of really nice material over the years. Once you're settled-in down there, no doubt you'll be able to take time to finish some of it. Unfortunately (?), the lure of hounding in your new area will undoubtedly pull you away from finishing LOL.

Thanks for all the nice replies! Now I only have one more missing box and that is unfortunately the one with all the preforms already shaped and all ready for the dop sticks. I'm running out of places it might be too. Guess when you have over 20,000 pounds of stuff moved by the movers and three truckloads you hauled yourself, you can expect to have a tough time finding everything. Still though, it's darn frustrating. Only thing I can figure is I used that small box to fill a gap in the larger ones containing my antique blade collection which I still have in storage. Going into town for another load tomorrow so I should know soon if I have to start crying over my lost stones *L*.....Mel

Mel, I would have put that tub of treasures up front riding shot gun strapped snug in a seatbelt during the move and when I stopped at a rest area I would have dragged the tub along.
The Imperial Jaspers, or is it Royal Imperial Jaspers are stunning.

sitnwrap: Yup, those are Royal Imperial Jasper preforms all right. Those will always be in my top ten as far as cabbing materials go. I love the patterns and man does it take a glassy polish with ease....Mel

The top preform in the 3rd pic (and the one in the left side of the 4th pic - the same piece I think) is unbelievably beautiful! And that tornado that you framed in the 7th pic shows you have a HAWK's eye Adrian

Adrian: Yep those are the Royal Imperial Jasper, same material but different slices. The tornado is I think Mcdermitt Picture Jasper but the guy I got the rough from called it Bryce Canyon Picture Stone from Utah. It's a it more porous than the Biggs and Owyhee but still takes a nice polish...Mel

I can see why you would be upset. I love the picture jasper with the cyclone in the second to last pic.
