I ordered more 60/90 grit today, and went ahead and order a set of bearings and both shafts as well. Where the bearing has worn out, the drive shaft is out of alignment, which has made the rubber on the shafts wear out in a couple of places. I am hoping replacing the bearings and shafts will remedy the problem.

Had some time today to work on the tumbler and replaced the bearings and axles. It was not that hard of a repair to make luckily. For some reason the pulley on the drive axle did not want to come off. It some prying and patience and it finally popped loosed. I was concerned something might be wrong with it, but it slipped onto the new axle with no problems. The old drive axle was seriously worn where the bearing had worn out. I was also worried the the hole in the tumbler body might be worn where the axle had been rubbing on it. But I could not see any damage to the metal. After getting everything put back together, I put the freshly recharged barrel back on and it took right off. It seems to be turning somewhat faster than it was originally. I am hoping that it will help speed up progress with this tumbler. It is being used right now for an agate mix in rough grind. I understand that agate can be hard and reasonably slow to smooth, so I hopefully things will progress a little better for me.
