Sands- I had a nice 25 ft. travel trailer- weighed in at 4500 lbs and towed like a dream! then I bought a bigger truck (1 ton chevy) and of course had to get a bigger trailer- now I got a 35 ft with a 16 ft slide out room (comes in at 8000 Lbs) still tows pretty good but backing into tight spots is always a real challange!

Sands, So glad to see you back! We've really missed you! Sorry things worked out the way they did, but I certainly can understand about family! Don't forget, when you weigh that trailer, to be sure to leave several hundred lbs. for rocks. You can't travel around and not pick up rocks. I can't wait to hear how that Genie is working for you. I hope you have had some time to use it. Let us know. Trish

Hey, Sands, good you are back, and those blue stars, sorry your move didnt work out for you.
You know instead of the traveling box of rocks we were talking about in another thread, we could have the traveling trailer of rocks.....LOL......Sands could drive around the country exchanging rocks with everyone and picking up more on the way, maybe call it the rockmobile...........

Tonya- I like the way your thinking! Up for it sands- only stipulation is that when sands is in town- You gotta let him plug in the trailer- and you gotta feed him!

hahaha i didnt think of that one hahaha i like that rule i just found out acouple weeks ago that my social security would be cut in half because of the settlement i made with the insurance company so if i had to get another apartment it wouldent even cover the rent so thats out off the question.. so thats why im thinkin mobile home i can stop for a few weeks at a trailer park maybe sell some stones if im lucky and save some money then make another move till i find a place i realy like and stay for awile and maybe make more stones for more travel money -- im just gonna wing it and see if i can make it work i realy dont have much choice hahaha

Hi Sands, I'm so glad you got a laptop and can hook in like that, you have been missed around here. I feel really bad about what's been happening to you out there, I was so hoping you'd be all settled in and all would be good. If your going with an RV, take your time and find a good one that will give you plenty of room for your rock equipment. Can't have us going without cabojohns forever you know and you're so talented it would be a shame to waste that. One thing nice with the RV, think of the flea markets and sales you could hit. Cher

Hey John, with your laptop and RV you could be like Wolfman Jack. Instead of an underground radio braodcast you could operate an underground cabbing operation. You could call yourself "Sandsman John". Before you know it you'll be a guest of Jay Leno and the world will beat a path to your doorstep, er, RV step.
