Okay, Northshorerocks just got me wanting more of those snow pictures he posted. Folks, I tremendously enjoy pictures of snow scenes taken by the average the Joe/Joe-ette. If you don't mind, will you please post them here. I'll start with a few that I've taken. This is a picture of some tree shrubs at the golf course behind my house. This one is of a train trussle in Cloudcroft, New Mexico. Finally, this one is of my hybrid travel trailer at Oliver Lee State Park near Alamagordo, New Mexico. Condor

We don't get that much snow, but every now and them we do get it. Several years ago for Thankgiving, we had a total snowfall of twenty seven inches. Wish I'd taken pictures. It was beautiful.

That's really pretty! All of these photo's are beautiful! I was with northshorerocks when he took that photo of the moon...man it was awesome to actually see it in action! We were watching the sun set, then we turned around and BAM! It was a good night for pictures.

The pics are beautiful and a good reminder that snow does create beautiful scenes but that one that Tony has of the burn area is a little spooky. lol

bwcachick, Lot 'o wolves in and around Jellystone, we even have them here in the Gallatin range now, (60 miles north of the park) Yellowstone Wolf Restoration has been quite successful.
At the end of 2007, at least 171 wolves in 11 packs and various groups occupied Yellowstone National Park. There were fewer packs than in 2006, but the remaining packs were larger and there were more non-pack wolves (e.g., loners, temporary pairs, etc.). This represents a 26% increase from 2006 and closely matches the population peak of 174 in 2003.

Cool pictures gray! Yellowstone is on my bucket list for photography. A western photo/rockhounding trip is coming soon...real soon. I was just reading your post in the Winter flashback thread. Sounds like your on the backside of this system too! It's -10F now as I type. -40F wind chill. I just took the wife to work and everything had flash frozen from the storm, including the truck doors. It's gonna be brutal cleaning up the rest of the mess today. Stay warm and safe!

northshorerocks, Yeah, sounds similar all-right. You folks have it worse in this type of cold, it is a very dry cold here, unusual to get freezing rain and the snow is very powdery, Driving is fine when this cold as it is not overly slick, though I do keep the car doors WD-40 soaked.
