Hi everybody! I got this slab off of ebay about 18 months ago. I didn't pay the sticker price but the woman I got it from did. Thanks for looking

Looks like Blue Biggs. From what I've seen, a slab like that would go for more than $100 at a show. If you got it for less than that, it was a good deal.

Beautiful piece of Biggs! I'll bet you were excited when you won it. It looks like Old Biggs too. Do you have those cabs marked out?? Steve

Thanks guys! Those cab outlines were on the slab when I bought it. The woman said they were there when she got it. I don't want to cut it, it has so many different aspects of biggs and I think it's better whole.

Yes, I will polish it. I have 2 20" lortone flat laps I just need the proper grit and some bumpers so I don't chip the edges.

Isn't it funny how differently people look at a rock? Us lapidary artists see beautiful cabs, while the true rock hound sees a beautiful display artifact! In either case, it is a sweet looking slab-one that I would probably have destroyed trying to cut cabs out of it!

You are correct. I actually look at it both ways and I would really love to make some cabs but, I also have a large mineral collection and it fits in there very well.
