Looks great, Don! I've got some of that same material in a mixed jasper tumble - I've got something to shoot for here! Excellent job.

Don, your rocks always take a nice shine!
That's neat stuff. I like the variety in brecciated rocks.

That's some wild looking Jasper! There's a lot of cool variation in the material. You put a dazzling shine on them too!

Don: Strange question, I know, but could you post a photo of you taking photos of your rocks? Your photos always come out great, with maximum emphasis on the shine. I need to work on my photo skills, so I'd love to see how you do it. Indoors/outdoors? Macro lens? SLR or regular digi.cam? Rocks in shadow or not?

Beautiful stones!! African breccia is the coolest stuff, Kim used to have tons of it. (that's where I always got mine from) ... those look great!

Very pretty color combinations, they look like cakes or candies. Flawless shapes and shine on them, but why wander, that's your trade-mark by now.

Thanks for all the kind words, everyone!
ejs, I can't show a picture of me taking photos, because I'd need the camera to take my own photo! ;D I like to take photos outdoors on a sunny or bright overcast day, in the shade, using a Canon Powershot, S2 camera (the most recent model is S4 I believe), that has an image stabilization system to reduce camera shake. The camera has two macro modes... regular macro for focusing as close as four inches to the subject (which I use for my pics of the entire batch or big parts of the batch), and then super-macro that can focus as close as actually touching the rocks, which I use for the close-ups (although rarely right to touching the rock).
