Greetings Ladies & Gents, firstly i have a confession to make.
Technically this thread "My first Tumble" is not true, but it is true on my own equipment,
according to my shorthand written notes "My first Tumble" period was in June 1973 &
my last tumble was in March 1983 as my old High school had just restarted lapidary
as a subject on the schools curriculum for 3rd year or over.
They told me on 21st of December 1982, just 2 days before i left school, if only they
had told me the week before the October break i would have stayed on at school,
as i had to make a decision whether i was staying at school or leaving by end of
the week after the October break!
Basically my high school had been applying for a grant for at least 3 years that i know
of & the grant award winners are announced on the last school day in September each year;
it is a UK national award.

My new 3lb Evans (UK) rubber barrel.
The pictures below are local Quartz mix from the Bonny Water
(tributary to the river Carron then, the river Forth in Scotland, UK).
The stones have already done 13 stages in primary F80 & 1 stage in Secondary F220 that
i cleaned out every 5 days as the F80 usually breaks down every 3 - 4 days, unless there is
a problem such as leaks.
Note: some of the stones are wet, so they are not shiny yet.
