Very light weight for it's size and killer colors and wood rings throughout I have a few other smaller pieces similar to this. Any idea where this came from?

I recently got a piece from Catmandewe that looks very close to your piece. I started slabbing it yesterday and found that it doesn't take much to get it to break apart. I then cut a very thick slab (just under 1/2") and started to cab it. Once again it started breaking. Hopefully I will be able to salvage the cab after repairing it with epoxy. If I can get it to the finish point it should be beauty.
