It's a good thing that there aren't shows like that in Iowa, I know that in 2 hours I would have a blister all the way across the back of my neck from whippin my head back and forth

Oh man!!
Okay .... dumb question ....
I have only been to one show ...
Is it okay (as I think I see here) to take pics of everything as I see them?
If so .... I will do my best to try to take pics as I progress in going to shows.
As Always ... Julie

This has to be one of the most enjoyable shows that I never went to;D. I just love Larimar and never saw so much in one place.
I had a blast looking, thanks for posting a ton of pics.

Heard from a hounding buddy of mine last night who visited the show and went on the Big Diggins fieldtrip the first day and was in the first dozen or so folks to get to the trench. I was kind of sorry I told him about it as apparently the fieldtrip was a giant rip off. The trench was cut so deep a normal height person couldn't reach the agate layer to dig and the dirt removed from the trench which had been set aside for the fieldtrippers to go through, had plainly been high graded by the club folks doing the initial digging before the field trip as my buddy said no one was finding a thing in the piles when the agate vein had obviously been cut through during the trenching. Then , strangely enough, several club members apparently had lots of fresh Big Diggins agate for sale at "their" booths at pretty high prices. At $10 per head and a mob of folks going on the trip, highgrading before the paying folks get there is "not cool"!!! I had it on my list as I had a pretty good hunt there years ago but now I've crossed it off.....Mel
PS: I guess the Baker Ranch digs were canceled due to beheaded Mexicans being found in the area but the word was Baker ranch is not a real fine dig anymore either and it's better to just go buy from the Geode kid. Too bad because Deming used to be one of my favorite places to hound.

your so right, mel. Before the dig not too many ppl had the agates for sale. After the dig there was tons of it at totally rip off prices. yes the one field trip was cancelled but i know some ppl who went there on their own but didn't find very much. I heard this was a great show and it took us 2 yrs. to get in. now we are thinking, should we try it again? I think the economy really messed up things this yr.

there were over 100 dealers outside and maybe another 100 or so inside the buildings. i was looking at the valley springs show, but i think its too far for us to drive.
