This Ebay seller seems to have some good prices on some lots of rock. At least I hope they're good prices because I just won this lot of 21+ lbs of snow flake, mahogany, and mahogany gold flake obsidian for $43.84 with shipping. I guess they're only good deals if nobody else bids. This will be my sixth FRB in a week. I have to put myself on a strict trade-only diet until I actually produce something shiny. I asked my wife to bake some cookies for the mail man. Poor guy hasn't had to work this hard in years.

I bought 5 boxes from him maybe 3 months ago and was happy with everything. His descriptions are nice and he ships super fast. I have no complaints with his material at all.

He does sell nice rocks. I have bought a few from him as well- only others were bidding. You know though, I still say I got a good deal. In fact the rocks I have up to trade for some silversmith work is out of what I got from him. I keep hoping I will get a wet saw soon and see what they are like really. I know they are sure pretty on the outside. Maybe there isn't as much competition now and I should give him another look. I know there for quite a few months his multi color jasper was going for a really pretty penny. several pretty pennies. Not as much as his blood agate was though - and the bacon opal. Boy oh boy, had I been a corporate exec , I would have bought those, high dollar and all. Real nice.

Jockeys agate - that what it was that I bought. I seen he had a couple more boxes and so far no one is bidding. He really does you right I'll say that. He's real upfront and honest when you ask him questions too. Way back when I first got to looking, I had asked about a box he had, about cabbing- he told me straight up it would work better for tumbling. I thought that was real honest of him to say.
anywho, carry on- I have mine I am watching hehe

He's on my favorite seller list. Everything I bought from him was as described and at a decent price.

I tried to find the doughboy seller and came up with 43 pages of dolls, light switches and cook books Here is a link to Garry Walker's (doughboy265) current auctions. shop.ebay.com/merchant/doughboy265_W0QQ_nkwZQQ_armrsZ1QQ_fromZQQ_mdoZI have two other low-ball bids out there that now I honestly hope I get outbid on. I've bought about 150 lbs or rock since I first joined this forum. I need to chill out. If a good deal on Labradorite pops up I'm in trouble though. I love that stuff!

Labradorite is magic ummm....... No worries on me , I am putting myself on lockdown for a bit. I am saving up for silver. I bought a good bit of turquoise nuggets and they are begging to be set in a bracelet. Years from now of course but that's ok lol!
He sure has nice rock though- man oh man I would love to see what's inside of the jockey agate and imperial jasper.

This is the same guy that I bought most of the obsidian from that I learned to knap with. Never been disappointed on anything that I've received from him. He's from Southern Utah, if I remember right.

I have bought several boxes of rough from doughboy over the years, and have never been disappointed. I have cabbed all the material that I have bought, and it is solid material. Watch his discriptions as he sells alot of tumbling rough, which is too small to cab.

Thank you for the link, I can see why it's easy to spend your allowance right there. Prices are reasonable and the material looks good , plus a variety of different type material

Kentucky: I've never owned any opal. It's out of my league, both in price and skill. Wait, I take that back: I was given a slab of Montana agate that grades into common opal. I don't think that counts, though.

I have read opal is a definite skill Chuck. Shoot, I am getting my first wet saw next month and tickled to death. It will be years if I even ever get that skilled. I think that opal would make an awesome knife handle as well. Be real kewl walking around with bacon to slice bacon with lol! He sure has some nice rock, pretty rocks.
