... are in my tumbler. ;D When he came up for a visit last month, he brought me like 30 lbs of primo stuff all cut up tumble size. I've been running several batches in my rotary for a week or two to round them out and then moved them to my 10 lb. vibe last week. I popped in a few that weren't rounded and some stuff from other friends and family. I didn't have the luxury of time to get them perfectly round, like I would have liked to, but this will be a fun tumble. (I'm trying to get in at least three loads before we hit the road.) Here is what he brought Here is the whole batch coming out of 7 days in 220 grit. And a few close up Here are a few beach pebbles that my sons picked for me from a beach in San Diego, CA (they're finally getting it! Mom wants rocks!) A few Lakers from NSR, there's more in this batch, but I couldn't find them all that moment. Some Carnelian from Rogue Trader from the batch of tumblies that I won in his contest back in December. And some preshapes. There are more of these in this batch also. I also added a pinch of saw cuts and scraps given to me by Bejewelme and TonyTerner. Well, this batch has now been in prepolish for two days and I will be moving it into 1000 grit tomorrow for a day or so. Stay tuned and thanks for lookin! Jo

LOL. Thanks everyone. I'm going to move them into AO polish from The Rock Shed today in a separate dedicated polish bowl and run them until Sunday morning. We have our open house this Sunday and I thought it might be nice to have a quiet basement. Jo

Today, they went into the drink! They'll be in polish until Sunday morning. Snapped a quick pic of a selected few before they hit the polish. Tried to dry them off, but they were still a little wet.

They are looking so good. I like the way you're showing the progression. You could get first time newbies hooked on tumbling.

Thanks Fran and Randy and Condor! Condor, that would be the highest compliment I could ever receive. Well, tis Sunday and I woke up this morning, wiped the sleep out of my eyes, and said "oh goodie, oh goodie!" and while sipping my coffee, I sprinkled a teaspoon of borax into the vibe and let it run while I woke up (helps it rinse, I feel). Rinsed and then an hour burnish with 2 tsp. borax. By the time I had rinsed the whole load, we had to get moving on cleaning the house for our open house, so I had to take really quick pics (apologies to all). So, without delay, here is the final result... Some of the tumbles San Diego beach rocks from two of my three sons Rogue's Carnelian (should probably run them again to smooth them out) and Lakers from North Shore Rocks And the vibe cabs (hard to get good pics on these with the glare and I ran out of time) Angie was really relieved that this batch was finally finished. Thanks for your great support and thanks for lookin'! Jo

Jo that batch is so colorful. It is all eye candy. I don't know how all you tumblers can wait as long as you do, though the waiting is obviously worth it.
