I'm gearing up for a home show and will be gone the latter half of this week so I have been doing a lot of sittin n wrappin. Some of these are going with me, some are staying right here.
When Amber heard that I was doing a home show, she immediately offered to send me cabs. What a sweetie. The first one will be staying with me. I know how much work she put into it and the Kyanite is just beautiful.
I reverted to wrapping it the way I use to wrap when I first began playing with wire and teaching myself. It was a lot of fun wrapping this way again.
Another cab she sent me. I took a ton of pics but none do the cab justice. I offset the bindings on the sides to draw the eye to the cabs patterns on each side.
One of Tonyterner's cabs from a group he sent last summer
The next few pics are cabs from Bikerrandy
I had to lighten the pic a lot so you could see the color of this stone. It reminds me of grape jelly.
The scene in this cab is so dramatic so I wrapped it accordingly and then created a choker for it.
pics of the cab up close. The bail bindings may look messy in the pic but they aren't. I criss crossed the binding wires on purpose and it actually looks good in person. honest
The last few pics are cabs from Jamie
This one is called Confetti Stone and has a ton of minerals in it
There are 10 wires in the bail so I bent 5 wires to the right and 5 to the left giving it a look that it has two bails, almost.
I also love shells and love to wrap shells. this one I may have posted before, if so, sorry.
I said all I've been doing is wrapping but I lie, I sit and wrap then hop on the board then go back to sitting and wrapping etc, etc.
I have received some very beautiful packages from other members and hope to get pics up before I leave but if I don't I surely will when I get back.
As alway, thanks for looking.
Lori
