Lets see... empty all the rocks out of your pockets before hand, factor in hospital food and you've got...hmm...9.5 pounds! Hope everything goes smoothly and you're back to your normal self in no time! Steve

I am going to guess............none! You will actually gain weight after the surgery with all of the swelling, staples and stitches. Were you talking about after you are healed? Oh, and don't forget all the saline they pump in you during the hospital stay! No way you can pee that much before you get home. LMAO Call me if ya wanna..............I am here for you.

Sheri, I can't imagine the courage you had and Nancy has in going through this. You both have my humble admiration. Jo

3 1/4 lbs and my wife says the official weight shouldn't be taken until after the drains come out.

Hey Nancy, you could lose weight but the sense of humour you have is such a gain! Congratulations, you have the most powerful weapon in your battle and definetely you're gonna win it!
My guess is 7 pounds 7 oz.
Good luck, get well soon!

Amber, I'm happy if I can introduce a little levity into the daily life of even one person. I find that it is only if I really work at maintaining my sense of humor (dry and wry though it may sometimes be) that I can avoid being "down" or depressed. Humor is what keeps me going on a day-to-day basis. So thanks for your comment - it means a lot to me if one person gets a laugh! Little Tommy Tucker, sings for his supper ....... well, I used to be able to sing, anyway! Tom

Tom: I can tell that you have a great sense of humor, and I do too, indeed it gets me through the day! The best compliment Tony ever gave me was when he said I was the funniest woman he ever met, LOL!
Your 30 pounds of boob makes me smile everytime I read it!
Do you have posters of Dolly Parton on your walls, LOL!

No, Amber, in fact I have no posters! Not even a Playboy laying around! I sublimate by playing with rocks and stuff like that! LOL! After being divorced for almost 15 years, I still find it difficult to live alone, but preferable to living a war! I just keep on keeping on. You know, hope for the best, but try to prepare for the worst kind of thing. At my age, every day I wake up is a great day! LOL! ;D

I hate to say this but depending on how long after you get out of the hospital you weigh yourself, you will gain because of the IV solution and your bodies natural reaction to surgery by swelling. If you wait about 2 weeks, I would say 4.5 lbs lost. Fran

Bust`y + 5' 4" or so, 141 Lbs, = two Dolly Parton`s (Ashwood thunder egg bed, Oregon ) Minis the C-Cup our so to body mass each reduction 2.3 + total 4.6.
Oh i should add i use a huge hand to scale the math, MORE THEN A HAND FULL IS WASTEFUL,
Though less then a mouth full ( #%*#*- %& #@ ).

Oh, Nancy, bless your heart for your sense of humor during this horrible time in your life. As I look at your scale, I wonder how mine got so seriously out of whack! And then I seriously consider how I can weigh a boob...should I use the 10 lb. kitchen scale, the little oz. scale I got for weighing rocks...or go for the gusto with the (seriously out of whack) bathroom scale? Should I ask my hubby to help, or just do it myself? One or both? Hon, you made me laugh with you, and cry for you. So, whatever the answer, I have a box of rocks, weight of the final answer, for the winner AND the worst loser. And for you. Thoughts and prayers to ya.
PM addys.

Well my guess would be a little over 14#, so 14lb 2oz as it won't just be the wight lost from the top, surgury reduces apetite so that will be a consideration too. Good Luck!

When my appendix ruptured, I spent 5 days in the hospital. By the time I returned home, I lost almost 30 lbs. That was bad considering I only weighed 135 to begin with. I'm going with a total loss of 9 lbs 4 oz.
