Spectacular batch! They all look great and took a top notch shine. Beautiful lakers too! What kind of setup do you use to take your pictures? All your photos look great. Steve

Steve helped me learn how to REALLY work with a camera. He's a pro at it. Anybody needing help, Steve is the one to ask! (no offense to anyone else)

Fantastic stones and picture quality. Can you let me know, were the pictures taken on Macro? and is the background just black card or is it something else.

My wife and I were arguing in between pitches during the world series . . . about which of these were the best. Too many good ones to choose from. Very awesome batch. What do you do with them all? Karock

Celt 40... Yes, the pictures were taken in the Macro mode. The back drop is a heavy black drop cloth, with about 2 feet between the lit-up stone an cloth. The space between is what creates the black background with no hairs or fuzzies.

NothShoreRocks Thanks for you relpy about Macro setting. Where did you light the stones, was it from above or from each side. Also do you use the Daylight photo bulbs. Sorry to keep asking you questions about Photography and not you wonderfull stones.

Gorgeous, absolutely gorgeous. It's obvious your method works extremely well. Can't believe how shiny you got all of those. I think my fav may be (but not at all sure) the 1st preform. It's such an unusual pattern. Jo

Dermot... Generally they're lit from each side, above and slightly to the front.
The bulbs are Tungsten 250W. Their color temperature is about 2800K. The key here is to match your White Balance on your camera with the temperature bulb you are shooting with.
