OK - afraid I don't have pictures "yet" but I've been selling flat rate boxes of Obsidian rough for the last week on some flintknapping sites. But thought maybe I'd share a few with you folks!
The deal is - $19.00 for a Medium Flate Rate or $26.00 for the large Flate Rate, stuffed full of Rough Obsidian and shipped to your door for the price listed above. The deal is - These chunks are rough, some might have one face cut... They might have spalls broke off, however all of it is great usable material. Pieces range from a few inches in size, to 15lb chunks! The material mostly came from Glass Butte, Oregon, however there might be of localities as well. The variety comes in Silver Sheen, Gold Sheen, Mahogany, Lace, Black and more!
Also afraid I don't have the time to pick and choose material to meet your needs. I pack these straight from buckets and pack them to squeeze as much material as possible! The last large flat rate I shipped 2 days ago had 41 Pounds of obsidian in it! but they usually hover around the 35# +/- for the large and 25#+/- for the medium flat rate
Shoot me a PM if you'd like one or a dozen lol.

My large box just arrived today. Tipped the scale at just over 40 pounds. Thanks for the great deal, Jason.

I knew that box was heavy, right at 40 lbs. It came with a sticker that said it was damaged when it arrived at the Bryan office. It was wrapped in yellow plastic banding. Somewhere along the line they put a bright orange sticker on it that said CAUTION HEAVY LIFT CAREFULLY. I had to laugh at that one, wondering what words were said when they grabbed it. It was a great box,I'm slabbing some now..Thanks Jason.

Great to hear the boxes are making their way to the new homes! - Dang sorry to hear yours broke open snuffy! I try my best to use lots of tape, however I don't think the brains at USPS thought about mailing rock LOL. Those bright orange stickers that say (Heavy Parcel) was actually attached by me. My local post office gives me rolls of them ;D - Be sure to wash the rock up and take a look at them in the sun. So far while packing I have seen Black, Lace, Silver Sheen, Gold Sheen, Rainbow, Mahogany and a few other interesting pieces.
Thanks again folks for taking a few of these off my hands! Make sure to post pictures when ya get it cut up!

What are the ones that are almost all orange? The others I can guess on but those have me stumped.

There is a variety from Glass Butte called Pumpkin Obsidian. It's often times solid orange, with maybe a whisp or two of black mixed in. Your mahogany's and gold sheens will also carry the red/orange color as well. It seems to me there was one box I packed which had a small piece of pumpkin tossed in though.
The pumpkin obsidian does react a bit different than the black varieties. Flintknappers like it, however it tends to be a bit more grainy. I dig pumpkin every year down at glass butte and cut up for the flintknappers. I have a 219# piece of pumpkin in the back yard looking for a new home lol.

I could get some pictures of my piles LOL.... Might scare a few people though! Lets say right now my back yard is packed full.... especially after buying that most recent 3+ ton collection! I have a guy flying in today from Maryland to Oregon to take a look at the pile - after he gets his goodies... I'm gonna start dumping rock!

Took a while to get back here. Thanks for the ID on the pumpkin. I think there were two pieces if I recall correctly. I also loved the fact that the dirt was still on them. It 'almost' feels like you found them when you have to wash the dirt off still.
