Here is my very first try at intarsia. The piece is 1" by 2". It is a piece of Rattlesnake agate bordered by Black Jade. The edges were all flat lapped out to 600 grit before gluing. I used Hot Stuff Yellow to glue the pieces together. The bottom of the intarsia is a 1/8" slab of Basanite making the piece a thick 1/4".

WOW Dan, I would expect nothing less than perfection and that is a beauty!!!! If that is the first one, I can just imagine what is to come!!!! I really like the black jade borders, I think black really sets off the center stone, you have some killer material to make some fine looking intarsia!!!!
