Beef, you got nice peeps. How wonderful! Did you give them a hint on this? Did you tell them where to get them and what you wanted?

Hello Beef,
Thanks for the photos with labels on, it makes it so much easier to track down some nice material when you know what it should look like.

Your mum certainly choose a gift for her son well. The labels are special, I assume youe mum found them already labeled, or did you do that for us. I only wish that I would label material I cut, so a week or two later I knwe what it was. Woody

Great collection of slabs! Very cool to see them labeled too. So much neater and more meaningful to know what everything is when you get stuff you haven't collected yourself. Really excellent assembly of material too. Love the Morgan Hill and that valley Springs Dendritic is something you usually only see at Snyders Pow Wow so it's kind of hard to get......Mel

Those look very, very familiar. I had a guy set up my website for me and as payment I sent him a bunch of slabs. I know he was struggling with getting equipment to start cabbing. It looks like he gave up on it. I'm really happy to see another rockhound make use of the material rather than have it hidden away in some dark place for a long time. Congratulations on the find!! Beef, When I first looked at the slabs, they really seemed familiar but I dismissed the possibility that they were the ones that I sent because the chances of it being them seemed too remote. When I looked again yesterday I recognized the labels and my handwriting, especially the note on the Valley Springs Dendrite that it was local to me. Was there any Chinese writing rock in the batch? I remember sending some of it, too. Have fun with the material!!! Bob
