Thanks for the tips, ken, Woody & Susan. I had no idea I needed to clean the solder as well. Hubby kept telling me the copper was oxidizing too quickly. So I guess he was right on that

I so will try making sure every little thing is very clean inclding solder and see what happens. Stay tuned ;D
