I'm in shock and awe! Last week, " dbrealityrocks" saw one of my comments on pietersite and asked me for my addy, he said that he'd send me a slab of it. He sent me a box full of slabs, not small ones either, these are "slabs". And if that wasn't enough, he also sent a bag of opals! I honestly don't know what to say, this stuff is truly amazing!! Cathy has already claimed a wire wrap from a cab off the of the pietersite slabs. Who can argue? lol, check it out.... Pietersite slab #1, absolutely beautiful, and the pics didn't capture everything....... Pietersite slab #2, this one looks like it's on fire! This is the one that Cathy wants a wire wrap from.... I'm not sure what this is, but man is it cool!! ..... Another slab of the same stuff I think, awesome slab!! ..... Another unknown, never seen anything like this but wow!! ........ This, I think, is either Brazilian or the inside of a really cool thunderegg? Ocean jasper maybe? A cab from this is gonna be sweet! And one more unknown, and again "amazing"..... Some sort of plume agate, the pics just don't do justice to this (or any of the others) ....... Orbical jasper, maybe OJ? Truly stunning piece...... Hickorite, yet another killer cab waiting to happen...... Crazy lace, check out these patterns!! .... And if that doesn't top all, he sent a bag of opals!! In person, they show a lot more fire than the pics would allow me to capture. This stuff is the icing on the cake (a big cake) ;D Talk about making someone's day, this is cool!!

Wow, how nice. If this post was not "holy" I would break one of the commandments (envy).
That Pietersite is way better than anything I saw at the rock show last weekend!!

Your talents will definately do it justice. Thanks Darryl! I'm pricing a diamond band saw, there's entirely too much waste when using a trim saw to do the preforms and I wanna get the most cabs possible from this stuff, as well as my old stash but this stash is definitely pushing me in that direction. If I do get one, it will be "really" soon.

I had noticed how much Randy had helped people so when he said he wanted to get some pietersite I thought no good deed should go unpunished Randy-interesting about the bandsaw, I never thought of that. I have an old lortone combo unit that I only use for cutting opal, that has a .006 blade on it. How thick are the diamond bandsaw blades?

Beautiful rocks. Don't buy the inland. I plugged it in, adjusted the blade, added water and cut out four pieces of Montana agate and I heard a loud POP. No more motor. Don't know what it will cost to replace it. Debby & Tom

I'm not sure how thick the blade is, but it's super thin and the best part is that you can follow the curves. It will actually cut an oval right from the middle of the slab and leave the rest, no waste! Tom and Debbie- there is a fix for that. It's not the motor, I can't remember exactly what it is but my friend has fixed two of them. Inland is aware of this problem, every one of them do the same thing.
