Glad you got the rocks and they didn't just get pitched. That older stuff is usually the best stuff. Quite a haul for you.

 Looks like your going to be busy for years. That couple must have been the inspiration for the Lucille Ball movie "Long, Long Trailer". Welcome aboard. Ed

hey thanks guys! i am beyond excited, my girlfriends pissed that i havent put down my laptop for a week now, learnin and shit.. today i picked up 3 truck loads and going back for 2 more tomorow morning.. its going to take me a while to sort through what ive got but everytime i go into a new box, something crazy jumps out.. ill post better pictures asap, but for now.. so whats this stuff? im guessing 1-200 pounds of this stuff.. it seems like obsidian but its opaque and stripes of blue green grey and white.. some big chunks but most of it is 1-3 inches garnet? can this be gold? seems like some green oxidation on there, i dont know... i guess i shouldnt sleep with this under my pillow, but how dangerous is it really? is this labradorite? its hard to get a good picture of the flame stuff jumping out.. green glass stuff, veins of sand and bubbles.. i would like to figure out what this is, we have boulders of it .. it seems like Mica but metallic and super-heavy .. it looks brittle but it bends or mars instead of flaking apart..

Those are probably some of the strangest tats I've seen - I like them, especially the tree.
Welcome to the boards. You've come to the right place to help with ID, not from me necessarily but we have lots of experts here. Best to post in the Rock ID section of the boards - not everyone checks out the visitor section. I agree on the slag glass.

Wow. What a great find! Definitely some interesting specimens there.
To me, that one looks like gold. It's combined with quartz, which makes it likely. Gold doesn't typically oxidize though, so it might be something else or something else is oxidizing.
Enjoy the hunt! Rocks are great! I bet you'll have a lot of fun in the discovery process.

Just so you will know, It is better to take your rock pictures outdoors in the sun that way it will look more natural. And if it has fire or flash it will show better. The 1st is slag glass like Ken said. The 2nd one looks like Garnet to me and the 5th looks like Labradorite flash but the rock looks kinda smooth to be labradorite. but im no expert

whatever that last one is its reactive to baking soda so just use warm soapy water with like a dish detergent like Dawn to clean. That is the safest method untill you get some id on that load of rock
I would venture a guess that its some form of chloride in the rock that is reacting with the baking soda
