this is one I made awhile back ---at the time he was driving a 94 buick ( white ) and do you know they didn't make a white one in the matchbox cars ---- so I had to paint it too ;D he must be home as the car's in the drive and the lights are on ! wonder where he's going -- looks like he is just pulling out of the drive ;D ;D this is done with brazilian slabs and set on a piece of oak that my great gradfather cut back in 1930 ( was a piece of my grandmother's barn )

That's really cool. It would be nice to have on a side table and leave on as a night light. I work shifts, so when it's dark when I come home I like a little light to see my way around the house. Is it all soldered together like stained glass?

Beautiful! How did you glue the agate slabs to form the fouse? Looks like tin or lead, but I think it's something different,

very cool.I have been messing around with the stained glass art stuff for a few years. My grandfather learned it after he retired from preaching and taught me some before he passed on. He made a beautiful village like that and numerous other things. Seeing this reminded me of him and his creations, thanks

thanks for the comments ! ;D --- it's done like stained glass ( use the copper foil and lead) ------- I've found that most people that do glass only do "one" stained ROCK item --- it takes tooooooo long to cut/ grind all the pieces . ----------- think I have five of these now & a couple done for other people -- my wife wanta a "set" of them ------ which I say is "four" and she says it's "12 " ;D ---- each piece averages an hour to cut/grind and wrap ------

Showed my wife and you've inspired her to try one in stained glass (unless i provide enough thin agate)

charles -- way too easy with the glass --- get busy cutting those slabs and getting them polished -- then make a cardboard model to make sure everything fits , then start cutting those slabs to fit ! ;D ;D
