Wow! Dave. That is very ambitious for a first attemp. A lot of soldering. Great job and very nice stone. Ken

Beautiful DAve:) Hey is that some of that Fischer stone? Me thinks Mister Dave has lots of natural talent at this silversmithing stuff:)

Bought the scalloped bezel wire from Rio Grande. The hard part is making the ends match, in the scallop, before soldering.

How about a picture of the back? what did you make the half round pieces out of? what gauge of wire? you are right about matching up the scallops that is a pain. good job I have been soldering for awhile now but haven't done anything as complicated as your first.

Here are pix of the back and side. 24 ga, for the back, the rings were made of 18 ga round, wrapped around a 16 penny nail and cut as close as I could to halves. The bail is made from 14 ga half round.

Used hard solder for the bezel work, and easy for the half rings and the bail.

No just worked down to the 1 micron 3M disc. We have lost our tube of Zam, when moved into our remodeled hobby room.
