...for the drawing Abigail did for her Grandma and Grandpa. I just used some old oak trim I had left from when we had our house built. I have to admit, too, the miter box I have was my grandpa's. I'm so proud to be able to use it for such projects. It's really old, but super heavy and cuts spot-on! Too bad it's only on our wall for a few days. I'll have to commission one for myself! Hope you enjoy it as much as me. Thanks for looking, Nate

Thanks Marie. I'm very proud of Abigail's work. Seems like everything she tries she's good at, and she makes it look so easy too. She's quite inspiring!

Thank you Steve. Thank you too, Jo. Sorry - you must have posted as I wrote my reply to Marie. Abigail (she prefers that over Abby now LOL) drew a scene from Venice, Italy.

Nate, there are 3 generations represented there. What an amazing thing. Your daughter is a wonderful artist and so are you. You just can't beat the old tools especially ones that have been used and passed on between loved ones.
You and Abigail made a treasured heirloom.

The 45 degrees joints at the corners of the frame are simply perfect. This frame completes and enhances an already fantastic painting. I especially like the reflections in the water, shows a very good eye and technique.

My goodness, Nate .... are you SURE that Abby did that, and that it's not a reprint of something from the Louvre? LOL! It's really that good, I think! That's some really talented offspring you got there.
I like the frame, too. Your antique miter box makes much better corners than my expensive miter chop saw does! I occasionally make frames for my sister's " paintings" but they're never as good as what you made. Good job, both of you!

Great job on the frame Nate! Wow Abigail's got some serious artistic vision!! The detail work in the water reflections is an abstract masterpiece in itself. You must be very proud! ;D
