The saw worked well Connrock, I gave it a good workout on the weekend and slice a few pieces similar in size and shape to your picture of petrified wood you posted, I just checked them after few days and are tumbling well atm. Thanks for the advise on the vibrator.

I have had a lot of success with the tile saw from Home Depot. You will lose a lot more stone with it than a true trim saw but if you have a lot of rock then it's no biggie. I usually cut my slab then take a ruler to draw out geometric shapes since trying to cut curves are out of the question. And using the blade as a grinder shortens the life of the blade real fast. So, I'll cut my shapes then tumble them normally till nice and shiny. Then add your findings or wrap them depending on size and shape. Just like anything else we do around here, the more you do the better you'll get at it. And as before I advise writing copious notes about the rocks you are working with from start to finish. So if it turns out great you have a guide to repeat the finished product.
