Well here it is. This is what I use to cut a groove in my cabs. I use my battery powered dremel and a 1" diamond disk I got at Harbor Freight. This is simply a scrap piece of 2x4 I had laying around. I drilled a 7/8" hole in it. Then I push my dremel up through the bottom. The hole is slightly smaller than the O.D. of the dremel, so friction holds it in there for what I'm using it for. The disk doesn't fit through the hole, so I attach it after installing the dremel. Then I wiggle it around a bit to set the height of the cut. (really technical here ;D) Turn it on, spray a little water on it, and groove away. Simple, yet effective. Hope y'all like it. Nate

That's a lot simpler than other setups I have seen. Bookmarked it for future reference. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Mike. Just threw it together one day and it works well. I tried to keep to the KISS theory.

That is something I could do with what I already have! Patrick (my husband) picked out this triangle shaped dremel cab that I finished and wants a groove setting for his keychain. I think I'll start playing around with some practice pieces using this method. Thanks!

Hmmm.. someone here had shown a slot trim tool that I looked into and ended up buying, for $12, a grinder bit for my Gryphonette for grooving my cabs. Not used it yet, but getting ready to. Think this idea is totally bitchin and I might just try something similar!
