This is to introduce Yung, the other half of the Rocpup clan. She has taken an old idea to a much higher level with putting a little artistic touch on her efforts. She has sold hundreds of these making just enough profit to gather more stock for more gemtrees. Hope you are lucky enough to have one. Those are all stunningly beautiful!
When I see those it makes me want to try my hand at them but I have to tell myself NO, too many irons in the fire right now!

What exquisite work! I've made gem trees and have seen many, many different styles in my travels and these are just gorgeous. Thanks for sharing these. Jo

Me too! If I could afford one, I'd have it in my office as a center piece with all my work around it. Those are just so beautiful to me, and the craftmanship is just amazing. They are all very nice, but I love that green and pink quartz one, 5th one down... sigh, one day I'll win the lottery!!!

Those are some of the nicest gem trees I've seen. Well done! Are these for sale on the web anywhere?

Those are incredible! I just finished my first gem tree and I can assure you it looks nothing like those. I keep looking at the patterns, the wraps of wire, all to perfection and all honest to a true tree form. To create something of beauty is wonderful, but to recreate nature and have an additional statement is amazing. Perhaps one day my trees will approach that. Do you think she might give pointers? Susan Yung says, "If you are in the neighborhood stop by." She has taught many and none has duplicated her style.

Caution, Rocpup, you aren't that far away! At least if you have returned to your summer home. Should I bring lunch? Susan

From time to time we will show more of these. She does nice work and surprisingly fast. About three years ago she made 35 large trees (12 inches) for a wedding. It took her about a month to finish. There is one problem and its very severe, I have to keep a close eye on my rock pile.
Susan Sounds great. Except for onions I am not a picky eater. Don

Donnie Yung does sell her trees privately and some of the above are gone But here is a rundown. 1. Made for our grandson's wedding and not for sale. This is one of her largest trees at 16 inches not including the rock., 2. $40, 3. $99, 4. Gone, 5. $35, 6. Sold $140, 7. $89. If someone is interested give me a PM. They can only be available for two weeks then we head North. Don

Beautiful trees, the branches are so smooth and round. Great wire work. And the "leaves" are so many and tiny, what a work to make such a tree!
Looking at some pictures, it seems the leaves are not simply glued by the looped wire, but they have a tiny hole and the wire goes in there. Am I right?
