Sorry guys, I just got back from Maine about 1hr ago.
BIG hints: Wyobrian and NatureNut are very close. Wyobrian with one ans and Naturenut the other but not telling which one. haha. Oops, Naturenuts has posted 3 so her close ans is in her post directly under Wyobrian's.

Cool contest. Your daughter is a cutie, and I bet Dad is beating away all the boys that come knocking.
For her surprise look, I'll guess you told her to stay in town, and off the highway.
For the cab, I'll guess "Enchanted"
Thanks! Nate

There was no chasing until I intervened and there was no dog or cat or child.

A critter took shelter in the motor and ran away when she was running the car, either a hedgehog or a snake?

Nope, a bird did not hit the window, no snake or hedgehog either.
Nate already guessed the name of the cab but the problem has not yet been solved so keep guessing. The cab + a sfrb of other stuff is the prize for whoever solves the problem.
Brian, so true but not in this instance. lol.

A Bee or Hornet entered or was discovered in the car. You got in and chased it out. This is FUN! Thanks so much!

Well, I'm not sure how far south you guys live, but if it is fairly warm there already I would guess maybe a little fledgling bird that cant fly got stuck in the car's path.
If not a fledgling bird perhaps one with a broken wing or other injury that did not allow it to fly to safety?

Did an ex-boyfriend show up unexpectedly and you had to run him off? I wouldn't run him off, I would chase him down . lol Big clue: The problem was caused by living things and there is a well known saying that starts with: If.....................................
