Thanks for the trip. Nice haul but even better is quality time with kids. That looks like prime hounding country.

Hey, Carlos - yeah, the day out with the boys is hard to beat. Gives Mommy a break too! That general area is pretty amazing for rock hounding. Mel, Larry, Lowell and several others gave me some great tips on where to go that the books don't point out. The boys want to head back out there but not until it cools down some. Been in the high 90's out there so we'll be waiting for a cool spell. Thanks for checking out the thread.

Thanks! And, yes, we'll be looking around. I've been driving around without an A/C appreciating the increase in mpg but now that it's getting warm in SoCal, I will have to get this fixed. Appreciate you checking out the thread. We had a great time out there and plan on going back - after summer.
BTW, I've been following your thread on your DIY tumbler. That's pretty cool.

Hey Christopher - It was your thread, "Ludlow for Lavic Jasper" that got us interested in checking out this site. Your photos looked like the area was easy to get to and easy for kids, so THANKS! for posting all that. Several folks gave me some additional pointers along the way which made the trip great. I'll PM or Post when we go out again (if it cools off some). It would be great to get out and meet! Thanks for checking out the thread.
