This is why teardrops are so popular. I recut a lot of my dad's obviously rejected ovals to tear drops or free forms.

Great polish for the first try. As far as the break. Think of it this way. Better it happened now. Where you can reshape it (yes I think that's one reason there are so many teardrops LOL) Than after puting it in a piece of jewelry. But that is one of the weaknesses of layered/banded stone. You always run the risk of one place not being too well "glued" to the next. Welcome to the "fun" of cabbing LOL Mike

Dang...I can't believe you decided to skip the "I can't get a good shine" stage and go right to shine perfection, but decided not to miss the "I can't hold on to my perfect cab" stage, or the "drop it and break it" stage. Oh, well, get it out of your system as you have a good future cabbin'! Tony
