Is there anyone interested in buying cumberlandite to make slides, slabs, for a collection or anything? I have all sizes and make an offer and approximate size of rock you'd like. Here are a few of the average size pieces I have. (About 10 inches across each) close up to show color and marks. Have larger and smaller pieces.

Found out cumberlandite is worth less than $10/lb if that helps.

Colton,
Do you have an online store? I noticed that you don't have anything listed in your signature?

I'm sorry everybody for past experiences. I will get photos up and will become better known around here. I am known on other forums (transamcountry.com and gtoforum.com) with the same user name for my cars, I've been on ebay for years with the name nti_88 if you want to check those. I also do not have a store, I'm a college student who has lived in Rhode Island where I obtained the Cumberlandite and just looking to pick up some extra cash.

Yes, please hang around for a while before offering to sell stuff. And when you do sell, ship your product first before asking for payment. Thanks, and welcome.

Don't believe I've heard of it. Will it stand up to tumbling or will it need to be cabbed?

Don't believe I've heard of it. Will it stand up to tumbling or will it need to be cabbed? en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CumberlanditeThat describes it quite well, the rocks in the photo are very dull and brown, the ones I have are dark green/grey with white spots throughout. I have seen them cabbed and they look really nice, as for tumbling haven't heard anyone try it.

Hello, New member here. I hope colton9182 will contact me personally. I am writing a college paper on the Cumberlandite boulder train and would like to know where he found these pieces. I DO know of the outcrop area, but am looking for places I can find it lying loose on the ground or in stone walls. I am not necessarily looking to collect, but rather to document locations. Any other RI members out there, please contact me. Thank you.

My only contact with Colton was thorough this site, so if he doesn't respond I don't know how else to help. Sorry.

Cumberlanditetree and Hank,
You might want to try sending a pm to Colton. Under his name there is a little pm icon and clicking on it will send him a message. If he selected to be notified by email when he gets a pm then he will get an email notification and will hopefully log on and reply to you!
