Paul,
Diane keeps a bottle of 800mg Motrin in the Jeep's console. Came in handy on the way home so I could climb OUT of the Jeep when we got home.
If I remember, there's a BLM marked short road going up the ridge of hills, about midway point. If there is a sign saying it's ok to drive, I'll take my Jeep up there next time. Like taking the elevator instead of the stairs! It's a 300' elevation gain within 1000' distance. Not too bad for walking unless you're carrying a 50# bucket, hanging off one arm. Great for the lower back. That hill would be 2 wheel drive in a Jeep but not a car. Sure would shorten the walk hauling around the heavy buckets. Hey, I could make some fast cash by charging you guys for hauling your buckets down the hill. Goober's Tram Service!
Looking forward to the return trip out there, especially with all you guys.

Here's a few rocks I cut up today. They do look different from the Lavic & other jasp-ag rocks I'm use to. Never seen the yellow & white before. I WANT MORE!!!! ![](http://www.outbackteardrop.com/rock/71.jpg) LarryS

That green one interesting as well. The red/white ones are pretty as well. Cool cuts! Christopher - did you get a chance to cut your boulders yet? ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png) Paul

I must admit that I have fallen behind in getting this new material cut. I will see if I can get caught up tomorrow and get some slabs sliced up and posted.

Wow, guys!
I've never been up there. I didn't know how productive it would be with the new park boundaries and collecting limitations.
As for the photos - great shots (and material I don't have a ton of for the Agate Index, so if you don't mind, I'll be poaching the rock images...)
Makes me want to head up there for a day of exploration.

These are really interesting pieces, Christopher. Those red and yellow ones are cool. Thanks for sharing.
Larry, thanks for taking the time to write up the additional instructions. These will come in handy!
Gotta get a trip planned!

Hey Christopher, Think we should delete this post and hide all the maps? Keep this place a secret? Nah, just kidding! This location has enough for generations to come. For those who don't know me, I get all excited over jasp-agate. Today I did a few more cuts and started to hyper ventilate. Diane too! The rock at 12:00 & 6:00 has all the colors. Maroon, red, yellow, orange, white, clear and blue chalcedony. Picture doesn't do it justice and noticed after the fact the water was drying up. Guess all that hyper ventilating got me light headed! These are 2"-3" in size. ![](http://www.outbackteardrop.com/rock/75.jpg) ![](http://www.outbackteardrop.com/rock/76.jpg) LarryS

Getting closer to the finished product. Also have a couple Lavic, Kramer Hills jasp-ags & Ebay Polish flint thrown in. ![](http://www.outbackteardrop.com/rock/77.jpg) Polish flint ![](http://www.outbackteardrop.com/rock/78.jpg) This will keep me busy for awhile. LarryS

Yeah, I'd agree - you've got a lot to work with! Love the slabs, as well. Great stuff, Larry! Paul

Those came out great! I wish I could join you on Monday but I'll be at the office... ugh. Here's to hoping you guys have a great trip and good hunting! Looking forward to more pics. I was showing Andrew this thread ... he wants to go now and we spent a few minutes looking over Google Maps the other day. Maybe during Christmas break.

Rain is in the forecast. Date may change. How about tomorrow, Sunday?

Looks like the rain forecast just might work in our favor as far as more people being able to join in.
